    Vinum

Deep, expressive, nutty, hay, herbs, citrus notes. Fresh palate, shows tension, balance, plenty of spice, long finish. Classy!

    Decanter

Some herbal elements on the nose with peach, lime and a hint of mango, white chocolate and vanilla. Lovely weight and body, enough to be mouth filling and give some density and concentration on the palate. Lively, supple, a great richness and a touch of sweetness that gives it roundness while the Sauvignon Blanc adds crisp apple and green stone fruit. Extremely low pH of 3.14 keeps the focus on the freshness and acidity really countering the ripe fruit. A great effort this year.

White flowers, lemon curd, spice, almonds, oranges, and crisp, green apples form the bouquet. The palate is bright, zesty, fruity, and fresh. The finish has a spicy tone to the sweet, lively yellow citrus in the finish. This is the first vintage including the new blocks, bringing the vineyard to 10 hectares of white wine grape varietals. The wine is a blend of 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Semillon. Drink from 2026-2033.

Green gold, well balanced, slate and pumice stone, rises through the palate from the first sip, lemongrass and lime, showing structure, depth, purity and sculpted citrus and sage. Excellent concentrated flavours, steely and mouthwatering, gets the balance exactly right between steel and flesh. 7% new oak (with barrels used only for the Sémillon). Harvest September 5 to 15. 10ha of white for the Estournel wines, 18 years on from its first vintage in 2005.

This is plump, pure and fresh, with a live wire of sel gris running through a crystal-clear set of white peach, Jonagold apple, honeysuckle and tarragon notes. A subtle twinge of oyster shell enhances the long, precise finish. Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. Drink now through 2030. 1,500 cases made, 400 cases imported.

An opulent and balanced dry white Bordeaux wine

    The estate

Located in the north of Médoc, on the hill of Saint-Estèphe, the Château Cos d’Estournel appears majestically. Like a true Maharajah's palace, the château and its pagodas surprise and captivate the eye. In 1791, Louis-Gaspard d’Estournel inherited hectares of vineyards and built the estate. An adventurer who had travelled the world, his taste for the exotic and the Orient gave Château Cos d’Estournel its unique architecture in the Médoc. Owned by Michel Reybier since 2000, Château Cos d’Estournel continues to shine in the Saint-Estèphe appellation and joins the lineage of the world's greatest wines by distinguishing itself with its unique style where the taste for beauty and excellence is a constant quest.

    The vineyard

A reference among the great wines of Saint-Estèphe, Château Cos d’Estournel enjoys an exceptional geographical location. Indeed, its vineyard is located on the edge of a plateau, in the immediate vicinity of the Gironde estuary. The vineyard thus benefits from a maritime climate while being protected from bad weather. The vines are planted on two slopes and a central plateau, benefiting from an ideal exposure and good ventilation.

Produced as a dry white Bordeaux wine, this cuvée is made from vineyards located in the northern part of the Médoc, near the ocean.

    Blend

    Sauvignon Blanc (70%)
    Sémillon (30%).
