The estate
Magnificent estate located on Bordeaux’s right bank, the Château Palais Cardinal takes its name from the former and sublime residence dating from the 12th and 13th centuries, with remnants still visible. Château Palais Cardinal enjoys a privileged location within the Saint-Émilion appellation.

The vineyard
Château Palais Cardinal oversees a splendid Saint-Émilion vineyard covering 26 hectares of vines averaging 40 years old, planted on gravel and sandy soils.

Vinification and aging
Hand-harvested. Cold pre-fermentation maceration. Alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. Pump-overs, punch-downs. Aged for 18 months in barrels. New barrels (90%), concrete tanks (10%).

Blend
This Château Palais Cardinal 2019 is a blend of Merlot (73 %), Cabernet Sauvignon (21 %) and Cabernet Franc (6 %).
