The estate
Château Corton C. overlooks a vineyard of more than 7 hectares spanning the prestigious appellations of Corton, Corton-Charlemagne, Meursault, Volnay and Pommard, for a total of 13 appellations. Among these, the estate also owns a prestigious monopole plot, the "Corton Grand Cru Le Clos du Château". An iconic figure on the wine scene, Caroline Frey now showcases the grandeur of these sublime Burgundy terroirs. With "precision" as its watchword, the estate crafts wines of sublime complexity, elegance and aromatic richness.
The vineyard
The Corton C. vineyard has been certified organic since 2021 and is farmed biodynamically, a responsible approach that yields exceptional terroir-driven wines, born of a subtle alchemy between the mineral, plant and animal worlds.
Vinification and ageing
The grapes are destemmed but not crushed, then vinified in temperature-controlled vats. Aged for 15 months in oak barrels.
