The vibrancy and refinement of a Sancerre white wine
The estate
Founded in 1850, Domaine Laporte has seen two great, passionate Sancerre families succeed one another on its lands: the Laporte family and the Bourgeois family, who brought it renown. In 1986, the Famille Bourgeois acquired the estate and has since continued to elevate each vintage with ancestral know-how. On the estate, the grapes receive meticulous care. Certified organic since the 2013 vintage, Domaine Laporte practices parcel-based vinification, offering a wide range of Loire wines recognized for their exceptional quality on the finest tables in France and abroad.
The vineyard
Les Grandmontains from Domaine Laporte is a Sancerre wine crafted from a 4.8-hectare plot at the heart of an age-old hillside terroir with clay soils rich in stones.
Winemaking and aging
Pressed, then settled before fermentation in stainless-steel tanks. No malolactic fermentation. This Sancerre white wine is aged on the lees until bottling.
Grape variety
Sauvignon Blanc (100%).
