Deiss's 2020 Schoffweg “Le chemin des brebis” is very clear and refined on the coolish, flinty, mineral nose that reveals rich and intense yet elegant, noble fruit. Round and generous on the palate, this is an intense, textured white with very fine tannins and stimulating salinity. This is a powerful, complex and enduring Schoffweg that was bottled at a stated 14% alcohol. Tasted at the domaine in April 2024.
