The aromatic bouquet reveals scents of hazelnut, almond, butter and toasted bread. With aeration, delicate notes of chamomile and hawthorn emerge.

The authentic expression of a Meursault white wine

    The estate

Founded in 1880 by Joseph Drouhin in the heart of Beaune, Maison Joseph Drouhin is an emblematic figure of Burgundy. Now led by the fourth generation, with Frédéric Drouhin at the helm and Véronique as winemaker, the estate oversees around 100 hectares of vineyards spread across some sixty appellations. A pioneer in environmental stewardship, the estate achieved organic certification as early as 1990, followed by biodynamic practices. The family is committed to producing wines that faithfully reflect the diversity and authenticity of their terroirs.

    The vineyard

This wine comes from a specific microclimate located within the Meursault appellation, adjoining the famous "Gouttes d'Or" climat. The vines thrive on a deep clay-limestone soil, giving the grapes a lovely textural richness while preserving essential mineral freshness.

    The vintage

2023 stands out for its historic warmth. After a mild winter and spring that favoured a beautiful flowering in May, June proved stormy. The mild summer helped preserve the freshness of the berries, before a September heatwave accelerated ripening. The harvest took place on September 16, during the coolest hours of the morning.

    Winemaking and aging

The grapes for the Meursault Village "En Luraule" 2023 are hand-harvested in perforated crates and then carefully sorted. Pneumatic pressing separates the juices before a meticulous settling process. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation take place in oak barrels. Aging lasts between 14 and 16 months in French oak barrels, 20% of which are new, under the regular supervision of the winemaking team.
