The white Second Wine of Chateau Haut-Brion is rare and exceptional thanks to its composition; it is produced in limited quantity. The 2014 Pessac-Leognan Blanc Clarte Haut-Brion is a blend of two Second Wines from two different properties; this 2014 is 66% Sauvignon Blanc and 34% Sémillon.
The nose gives off citrusy, white fruit notes mixed with a restrained wood hint. On the palate, the 2014 Clarte Haut-Brion attack is marked by thickness and leads to freshness and crispiness on the mid-palate. The finish confirms the bold expression of the fruit.
