    Description

Château Climens presents a white wine of great precision and silky texture

    The estate

Anchored in the Bordeaux wine history since at least 1547, the Château Climens is an emblematic estate of the Barsac appellation, early nicknamed the "Lord of Barsac". Unusually, its structure and extent have remained unchanged for over two centuries.

Under the direction of Bérénice Lurton since 1992, the estate passed into the hands of the Moitry family in July 2022, who continue its history with passion.

    The wine

Produced on a 14-hectare terroir, Lilium is a Bordeaux Dry White wine made from vines averaging 30 years old, rooted in the historic heart of the estate. The name of this cuvée evokes the lily, an emblematic white flower of purity and nobility, symbol of the kings of France since Saint Louis.

    Vinification and aging

After pressing and cold settling in stainless steel tanks, fermentation starts at low temperature thanks to indigenous yeasts. Aging takes place for 8 months in Wineglobes before fining with bentonite and filtration on diatomaceous earth (Kieselguhr).

    Grape variety

Lilium 2024 is made exclusively from sémillon.
