An organic Marsanne from the Vallée du Rhône, the result of an exceptional collaboration

    The estate
Founded in 1808 in Tain-l’Hermitage, M. Chapoutier has established itself as a benchmark in the Vallée du Rhône under the leadership of Michel Chapoutier since the 1980s. This family estate, now led by Michel and his daughter Mathilde (7th generation), cultivates 350 hectares under certified biodynamics across four countries. A pioneer with its Braille labels since 1996, it highlights the exceptional terroirs of Hermitage, Côte-Rôtie and Saint-Joseph through emblematic single-vineyard cuvées, combining Rhône tradition with sustainable innovation.

    The vineyard
Resulting from a collaboration between Maison M. Chapoutier & French chef Anne-Sophie Pic, this "Marsanne Sans Sulfite Ajoutés" is produced in IGP Collines Rhodaniennes, located on the natural border of the Saint-Joseph appellation. The vineyard thrives at 350 meters of altitude on soils composed of colluvial granitic sands and eolian deposits. This privileged location allows the Marsanne grape variety to fully express its character in an unspoiled environment.

    Winemaking and aging
The grapes are hand-harvested at optimal maturity. After pneumatic pressing of whole bunches and a quality sorting, the must is protected from oxidation without any addition of sulfur. Alcoholic fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts, followed by malolactic fermentation. The five-month aging is divided between stainless steel tanks and demi-muids, always without added sulfites.

    Grape variety
    100% Marsanne.
