The Richness and Precision of a White Crozes-Hermitage Wine

The Estate

Founded in 1808 in Tain-L’Hermitage, Maison M. Chapoutier is now one of the leading names in Rhône Valley wines.

Michel Chapoutier, winegrower and merchant, has elevated this family business to the pinnacle of excellence thanks to his expertise and passion. Maison Chapoutier's wines are acclaimed by connoisseurs around the world for their finesse and quality. Michel Chapoutier also holds the world record for perfect scores (100/100) awarded by the renowned critic Robert Parker. Today, his daughter Mathilde perpetuates the family heritage on a vineyard of over 350 hectares, covering the most prestigious appellations of the northern and southern Rhône Valley.

Over time, Maison Chapoutier has also extended its expertise to other regions, such as Alsace, Roussillon and Australia.

The Vineyard

The Les Meysonniers 2022 cuvée comes from vines aged 20 to 40 years, planted on south-facing slopes of Crozes-Hermitage, on soils composed of a mixture of clay and rolled pebbles.

Winemaking and Aging

After harvest, the grapes are pressed, then the juice is cold-settled for 24 hours. Winemaking is then carried out at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, followed by aging on fine lees for 7 to 8 months.

Blend

This wine is made exclusively from Marsanne (100%).
