An iconic Australian estate with unique expertise

    The estate

An emblem of excellence, the Penfolds Estate has established itself as a symbol of great Australian wines since the beginning of the 20th century, thanks in particular to the tenacity of a bold figure: Mary Penfold. This famous British woman and her husband Christopher Rawson arrived in Australia in 1844 and quickly acquired a 200-hectare estate in the heart of Adelaide. Captivated by this viticultural setting, Mary Penfold subsequently devoted herself body and soul to the management of the estate, making it the largest wine producer in South Australia.

Imbued with depth, elegance and complexity, Penfolds wines have been acclaimed by critics for decades and have received countless awards for their quality.

    The wine

This Australian wine was launched in 1993 with the 1990 vintage. Crafted in the same way as Bin 707, Bin 407 reflects the finest Cabernet Sauvignons that showcase the varietal's characteristics. A powerful structure, intense aromatic fruit expression and refined barrel aging define the profile of these wines derived from "multi-sourcing".

    The vineyard

The grapes come from several regions in South Australia (McLaren Vale, Barossa Valley, Coonawarra, Padthaway, Wrattonbully).

    Aging

This cuvée is aged for 15 months in 300-liter French oak barrels.
