The estate
The Picard family's winemaking history began in 1951, but it was in the late 2000s that Francine Picard, the current owner, founded the Au Pied du Mont Chauve estate. Located in the heart of Burgundy, this exceptional property tends 35 hectares of vineyards spread across prestigious villages. Guided by an environmentally respectful philosophy and biodynamic practices, the estate stands out for its ability to craft delicate, precise wines that faithfully reflect the richness of its terroirs.
The vineyard
Spanning renowned terroirs in Burgundy, the vineyard is planted on mineral-rich clay-limestone soils. Rising to between 220 and 340 metres above sea level, the vines enjoy an ideal south-easterly exposure and steep slopes that promote optimal natural drainage. Vineyard management is meticulous, with natural grass cover and strictly limited yields to ensure the bunches are perfectly aerated as they develop.
Grape variety
100% Pinot Noir.
