Lively and balanced, with a zesty feel to the fine mousse and lemony acidity animating flavors of ripe black currant and raspberry fruit, almond biscotti, spiced orange peel and ground coffee. A medium yellow hue, the 2016 Champagne Millesime Brut is a very elegant and attractive, if not understated, wine. It initially opens with notes of white flowers and linen, fresh brioche, lemon candies, and pear. Medium-bodied, it’s refreshing and light on its feet, with an elegant, pillowy mousse and a clean lift on the finish, featuring a springy hint of mint. Disgorged in July 2024. Drink 2025-2037.
