Château Closiot : Bonneau 2022

The 2022 Bonneau is showing well today, evoking a complex, elegant bouquet of honeysuckle, dried apricot, mango and ripe orchard fruits. Medium to full-bodied, round and elegant, it has a dense, fleshy core of fruit enhanced by gastronomic bitterness and a tense mid-palate that segues into a long, ethereal and perfectly balanced finish. This stunning, perfectly crafted Barsac has 128 grams per liter of residual sugar.

98% Sémillon, 2% Muscadelle. RS 138 g/L. A Jean-Marie Guffens wine. Screwcap closure. Cask sample. Pure, complex and aromatic. Honey, peach and tropical-fruit notes. Rich but balanced with juicy fruit and bitter botrytised freshness. Long finish. Despite the sugar it drinks like a wine. (JL)
