The elegance and precision of a Pessac-Léognan wine
The estate
Established at the beginning of the 19th century on former forest land, Château de Fieuzal is an emblematic figure of the Bordeaux region. This Graves Grand Cru Classé now extends over a 70-hectare vineyard. Since 2001, the estate has been passionately led by the Quinn family, of Irish origin. Lochlann and Brenda Quinn have brought a modernising momentum while preserving the unique identity of this terroir. Supported by technical director Stephen Carrier and consultant Thomas Duclos, they are taking the estate's wines to new heights.
The vineyard
Located south of Bordeaux, in the heart of the Pessac-Léognan appellation, the terroir consists of fine gravel mixed with sand, clay and small white stones. This soil promotes excellent natural drainage. The vines, with an average age of 35 years, thrive on gently sloping hillsides reaching 58 metres in altitude, offering optimal sun exposure. The presence of the Eau Blanche stream provides valuable water regulation during hot years. Planting density stands at 8,300 vines per hectare.
The vintage
This vintage benefited from particularly favourable growing conditions, marked by characteristic warmth that enabled optimal phenolic ripeness of the berries. The harvest was carried out with great precision, taking place from 4 September to 26 September 2025. Alcohol content: 13% vol.
Grape varieties
This wine is made from a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot.
