Decanter

Vivid aromas of white stone fruit, grapefruit and acacia, showing fine density, concentration and vibrancy. A Vin de France due to the non-traditional grapes in a blend of Gros Manseng, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier and 12% Chardonnay, fermented in stainless steel and aged in 228-liter and 500-liter barrels with lees stirring once a week. An excellent wine.

The striking nose pops with orange rind, ginger, white peach, vanilla, flowers, lemons, and spice. The wine is sweet, fruity, and fresh, with a zesty finish of green apple, melon, citrus, and spice. The unique blend is made from 38% Gros Manseng, 25% Viognier, 25% Sauvignon Blanc, and 12% Chardonnay. The wine was vinified in stainless steel and barrel, and aged in 100% new French oak barrels. Drink from 2024–2030.

25% Sauvignon Blanc, 12% Chardonnay, 25% Viognier, 38% Gros Manseng. Seductive bouquet, freshly picked vineyard peach, lemon balm and citrus. On the steely palate, plenty of verve, good drive, peppery extract and a slender body. Citrusy finish with pink grapefruit and citrus.

An unusual white that is thoroughly enjoyable in 2021. Love the rich, nuanced and powerful depths of the whites, with clear notes of white flowers, white mango, white pear, loads of texture and spice. This is a brilliant wine with salinity and texture, along with green-apple acidity, and it pulls you back in just when you think the flavours are going to stop. Brilliant stuff, a balance of sharp and sweet.

Lovely citrus and white-fruit notes, lively and fleshy, with fine freshness and tension—delightful.

The bouquet of Tertre blanc, of good intensity, is marked by notes of citrus and yellow fruit. Tasty and slightly saline, this Bordeaux blanc is lively and juicy. A mouthwatering and flavorful wine, very pleasant to drink! I think it works as well as an aperitif as it does with a meal.

(25% Sauvignon Blanc, 25% Viognier, 12% Chardonnay, 38% Gros Manseng) The nose is elegant, precise, finely knit, offering relative power and a touch of intensity. It reveals notes of quenette, green apple and, more subtly, citrus, combined with hints of white flowers, lychee, a touch of quenette, a discreet hint of eucalyptus and a subtle note of crushed nectarine. The palate is fruity and elegant, with indulgence and finesse, a tangy backbone, bite, energy and juiciness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy vineyard peach, lemon and, more lightly, crisp green apple, combined with hints of small juicy/tangy white plums, lychee, quenette, starfruit, fine touches of sweet grapefruit, a delicate hint of physalis, apple blossom, mesocarps, a discreet hint of lemon blossom and a subtle saline touch. A lovely slight tannic edge, both in structural perception and in the aromatics. A pleasing little tanginess on the finish/persistence.

After 2019 and 2020, this is the Tertre blanc I rate the highest. It’s a very original blend, reminiscent of the approach of Retout blanc. The grape varieties are Gros Manseng (38%), Sauvignon Blanc (25%), Viognier (25%), Chardonnay (12%). Pale yellow color. Refined, slightly discreet nose with notes of apricot and anise. The mouthfeel is delightful from the attack. The wine melts on the palate with delicate aromas, then stretches out and builds on the finish, with a lovely progression. It’s very good. Alcohol: 13.2% – pH: 3.17. Yield: 21 hl/ha.
