Description
The elegance and balance of a Saint-Estèphe wine
The estate
Established in the 17th century and taken over in 1989 by the Bouchara family, Château Tour de Pez has undergone a remarkable renewal, supported by substantial investments both in the vineyard and the cellar. Vintage after vintage, this Left Bank estate of Bordeaux has established itself among the leading names of the Saint-Estèphe appellation, thanks to wines crafted with care, precision and consistency.
The vineyard
Located at the "l'Hereteyre" site in Saint-Estèphe, the vineyard of Château Tour de Pez extends over 18 hectares. The vines, with an average age of 35 years, benefit from a clay-limestone and gravelly terroir characteristic of the appellation. The estate favours soil cultivation with cover crops and excludes any chemical weeding, in keeping with its High Environmental Value (HVE) certification.
Grape varieties
The grape varieties at Château Tour de Pez consist mainly of Merlot, accompanied by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
