Montalcino Cabernet with a splash of Sangiovese gives a very rich, concentrated, yet—incredibly—also very vertical red. Black berries and red fruits intertwine with menthol and Mediterranean scrub, underscored by very bright, almost saline acidity, and a finish of dried flowers and iodine. Superb balance to absorb all 15% alcohol without question.

A complex and restrained wine. The nose shows an elegant mix of leafy notes, cloves and subtle cassis, with graphite and licorice depth. Balanced attack with juicy acidity, firm ripe tannins and a full body. Great integration and length. Drink or hold.
