Juicy plum and an intriguing range of dry spices define this inviting, complex red. Chalky mineral notes and energy keep everything in line, with charred herbs and sandalwood smoke wafting through. A solid, well-built, flavorful and lively red with aromas of dark plums, dried leaves, Mediterranean herbs, baking spices and some meat. Full-bodied with plush tannins. There is an agile character at the center with a mineral frame. Well structured and focused, with a textured and well-weighted finish. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Drink or hold.

The 2020s are in the same ballpark as the 2021s, if not a touch more rounded and supple. The 2020 Côtes Du Roussillon Villages Latour De France Visitare Interiore Terrae (60% Grenache and 40% Syrah) offers lots of both red and black berry fruits as well as complex garrigue, pepper, spice, and subtle leather nuances. These carry to a medium- to full-bodied, round, layered, fruit-driven beauty with fine tannins and flawless balance.

Spicy tannins for this upright, slightly strict wine; we would like more fruit and, overall, more charm.
