Dark and winey, this is a bit backward and will need time to unwind the dark currant, fig and plum cake flavors, coated by a broad swath of bittersweet cocoa and tar. A slightly burly baker's chocolate note at the very end adds to the grippy feel. Best from 2032 through 2042. 720 cases made.

Dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, delicate bright rim. Ripe black forest berries, blueberry, hints of figs and nougat, fresh orange zest. Juicy, elegant, good complexity, round tannins, fresh and accessible. It is already developed and will be accessible a little earlier than a classic Ramos Pinto vintage.
