Description
Two Hands presents a Barossa Valley red of captivating complexity and precision
The estate
Michael Twelftree and Richard Mintz founded Two Hands in 1999 with the ambition of producing cuvées that showcase the nuances and aromatic potential of great Australian wines.
The vineyard
Spread across six different regions, the Two Hands vineyard gives rise to wines that highlight the potential and nuances of each terroir. Every plot is managed independently, from harvest through fermentation and oak barrel ageing to bottling, allowing each wine to express its identity to the fullest. Since its creation, Two Hands has been committed to producing organic wines. "Quality without compromise" is the guiding vision of this visionary company, reflected both in the way it crafts its wines and in the names and labels chosen for them.
The wine
Two Hands' Brave Faces 2019 is a tribute to the winegrowers of the Barossa Valley.
Winemaking and ageing
Plot-by-plot vinification. Partial destemming before crushing. Skin maceration for around 15 days. Aged for 12 months in concrete vats and in barrels of various sizes (puncheons of 316 to 320 litres and hogsheads of 237 to 240 litres).
Blend
Two Hands' Brave Faces 2019 is a blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre and Shiraz.
