Appearance
A pale straw hue, subtly lit by delicate greenish reflections along the rim of the glass.

Nose
The aromatic bouquet opens with exotic notes of lychee flesh and passion fruit, harmoniously complemented by hints of freshly cut musk stick and citrus blossom.

Palate
Energetic and bright, the attack reveals flavours of grapefruit zest and white nectarine. The mid-palate, with its silky texture, unveils touches of green papaya and a fine mineral thread, before stretching towards a taut finish of great freshness, particularly thirst-quenching.

Food and wine pairings
This cuvée pairs wonderfully with lightly spiced Asian dishes, white or oily fish, as well as preparations based on root vegetables. It will also elevate fresh cheeses such as goat's cheese or feta.

Serving and cellaring
While it can be fully enjoyed in its youth for its brilliance and liveliness, The Boy Riesling 2025 also possesses the structure needed to age elegantly in the cellar for approximately 5 to 10 years.

The estate
Founded in September 1999 in Marananga, in the heart of the Barossa Valley in Southern Australia, the Two Hands estate quickly established itself as an essential reference. Today led by its owners Michael Twelftree and Pierre-Henri Morel, the property stands out for its plot-by-plot and multi-regional approach. This prestigious brand has built its reputation on showcasing the finest Australian terroirs, producing wines of great precision. Thanks to rigorous selection and a strong identity, the estate offers an authentic and contemporary reading of the country's great vineyards.

The vineyard
The grapes come from an exceptional terroir located in the Eden Valley, east of Mengler's Hill. This high-altitude vineyard, dry-farmed without any irrigation, is home to very old centenarian vines aged 108 years, yielding fruit of remarkable concentration and quality.

The vintage
The year began with a mild and steady spring, benefiting from ideal early rains. Flowering took place under calm conditions, with no heat spikes. The summer, cooler than average and marked by cold nights, allowed for a slow and steady ripening of the berries. This extended growing cycle led to a later-than-usual harvest, ensuring a crop of vibrant, highly perfumed fruit.

Winemaking and ageing
The grape bunches destined for The Boy Riesling 2025 are hand-harvested and then crushed. The free-run juice is separated from the press juice before undergoing cold settling. Fermentation then takes place slowly and at low temperature under strict control. Finally, the wine is aged for three months in stainless steel tanks to preserve its bright style, then fined and filtered before being bottled in July.
