Van Volxem : Schonfels Riesling Grosses Gewächs 2022

I love the nose of ripe stone fruits and Alpine meadows. Ripe and juicy, but also concentrated and well-structured this is quite a serious wine that’s also really delicious on the front and mid-palates. The finish is really long, but there’s a tannic firmness that pulls on the brakes slightly. Probably just another year in the bottle. Drinkable now, but best from 2024.
