Xavier Vignon : Cairanne 2022

A dense, pulpy and well-driven Cairanne with notes of dark cherries, roasted meat and baking spices on the nose. It’s full-bodied with chalky tannins. Generously fruity with a textured mid-palate. Berries and spices mingle in a focused, peppery finish. Drink or hold.

Red and black fruits, peppery herbs, and underbrush all emerge from the 2022 Cairanne, a round, supple wine with ripe tannins, a solid mid-palate, and some salinity on the finish. Based on 90% Grenache and 10% Syrah, it will drink well for at least a decade.
