The palate is smooth and generous, with a creamy texture carried by aromas of very ripe fruit and sweet spices.

    Pairings and tasting occasions

This 21-year-old armagnac is best enjoyed neat, at room temperature, to fully appreciate the complexity brought by its aging.

An Exceptional 21-year-old Bas-Armagnac Signed Château de Lacquy

Château de Lacquy, three centuries of Armagnac tradition

Since 1711, Château de Lacquy has remained an uninterrupted family property, making it one of the oldest houses in the Bas-Armagnac appellation. Located in the “golden triangle” of Grand Bas-Armagnac, on the edge of the Landes forest, the estate stands out for its uncompromising commitment to quality. Since 2007, the ugni blanc grape has been reduced in favor of baco, colombard, and folle-blanche. The eaux-de-vie age exclusively in pedunculate oak barrels sourced from the Château de Lacquy forest, and are released at natural strength, without dilution or additives, preserving the vintage authenticity of Bas-Armagnac.

A 21-year-old blend crafted in keeping with tradition

This armagnac 21 years is the result of a blend of 5 vintages distilled 21 years before bottling, then aged for at least 2 years after blending. The baco (60%), ugni-blanc (30%), and colombard (10%) vines grow on a terroir of clay-siliceous tawny sands, colored by small iron oxides. Natural vinification, without any additions, fully converts sugars into alcohol to obtain a wine at 9.5° stored at 3°C until distillation. The eau-de-vie is then continuously distilled over a wood fire at 52° before aging for 21 years in 420-liter pedunculate oak barrels (50% new).
