Produced under the Dry White Bordeaux appellation, Y is an exceptional wine, limited to a production of only 10,000 bottles per vintage. Coming from the same prestigious vineyards as Château d'Yquem, it stands out for its specific harvest and production method.

The vintage

The year 2005 is marked by extreme drought, favoring a homogeneous and balanced flowering. After a hot start to the summer, more moderate temperatures in August preserve the acidity of the grapes. The harvest of Y 2005 begins early, on August 31, and extends until September 30.

Blend

Y 2005 is the result of a blend of sauvignon blanc and sémillon.
