Tasting

Color
The color displays a deep yellow with bright green highlights, a sign of maturity and freshness.

Nose
The nose entices with a beautiful aromatic complexity: ripe white-fleshed fruits intertwine with indulgent notes of toffee and coffee from perfectly integrated aging. A mineral touch adds momentum to the whole.

Palate
On the palate, the attack is broad and well structured, balanced by a mineral tension typical of Saint-Joseph. The finish, long and persistent, unfolds with flavors combining indulgence and zesty freshness.

The complexity and balance of a Rhône Valley white wine born from a unique collaboration

The estate

Founded in 1808, Maison M. Chapoutier has its roots in the Rhône Valley at Tain-l'Hermitage. This family estate, now managed by Michel Chapoutier and his daughter Mathilde, cultivates vineyards in the prestigious appellations of Hermitage, Côte-Rôtie and Châteauneuf-du-Pape. A pioneer of biodynamics since the 1980s and the first wine estate to offer Braille labels, it blends Rhône tradition with responsible innovation.

The vineyard

The result of a collaboration between Domaine M.Chapoutier and French chef Yannick Alléno, this cuvée "Couronne de Chabot Blanc" is a Saint-Joseph wine from thirty-year-old vineyards resting on fine-textured granitic soils of the lieu-dit Chabot, the late-ripening sector of Tournon-sur-Rhône renowned for its exceptional terroirs. This collaboration between a three-Michelin-starred perfectionist chef and a committed, activist winemaker has, since 2010, given birth to this cuvée, which elegantly reveals the expression of a great Rhône terroir.

Winemaking and aging

Manual harvesting. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts in 600-liter barrels, accompanied by bâtonnage for 2 months. Aging on fine lees lasts 8 months.

Grape variety

100% Marsanne.
