Description
A Languedoc Cinsault Vineyard Shaped by Atelier Guibert
The Estate
Atelier Guibert is an estate founded in 2020 by the five Guibert brothers, heirs of Véronique and Aimé Guibert, the founders of Mas de Daumas Gassac. Located in the upper Gassac Valley, between Aniane and Gignac in the Languedoc, this "creative laboratory" explores intuitive, pure winemaking within the more flexible framework of the IGP Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert. Run collectively by the brothers, the estate spans fourteen hectares and stands for natural, sincere and vibrant wines.
The Vineyard
La Clairière 2024 comes from three micro-plots of Cinsault located in the commune of Aniane, at an altitude of 100 to 150 metres, surrounded by Mediterranean garrigue. The vines, ranging in age from 12 to 77 years, are rooted in clay-limestone soils typical of this part of the IGP Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, providing an ideal terroir for the finesse and balance of the grape variety.
Winemaking and Ageing
To craft this Languedoc wine, the grapes are vinified as whole bunches with indigenous yeasts and gently extracted by infusion, without any additives whatsoever. The wine is neither fined, nor filtered, nor degassed, in order to preserve its full vitality. Ageing then continues in barrels and stoneware jars, followed by further maturation in bottle.
Grape Variety
Atelier Guibert's La Clairière 2024 is 100% Cinsault.
