The wine has a bright, pale ruby colour. The nose is delicate, offering freshness, fruit and juiciness. It shows notes of strawberry, juicy raspberry, red cherry, redcurrant jelly, a hint of blackcurrant, combined with notes of white pepper, liquorice (with a fine aniseed edge), clove, cumin, as well as subtle floral nuances (violet, cornflower) and toasty tones (toasted hazelnut, heated oak, a hint of caramel). On the palate, the wine is supple and warm, with notes of sweet spices (liquorice, cumin, clove, a very fine touch of cinnamon) and cocoa, combined with floral notes (violet, cornflower, peony), dried mint, all wrapped in a lovely fruity core (wild strawberry, raspberry coulis, juicy morello cherry, redcurrant jelly, blueberry jam). The finish is gourmet and fruity, with a slight hint of cocoa bitterness and a mouthwatering acidity. Beautiful silky, velvety tannins.
