Strawberry purée with lemon bush and overt viennoiserie. Medium body with savory flavors and super-zesty acidity, fine long bubbles and a structured yet precise finish. Chardonnay and pinot noir. Drink or hold.

    Antonio Galloni

The 2014 Brut Millésimé D is a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with just under half of the base wines undergoing malolactic fermentation. The nose is subtle, offering a touch of red and yellow apple and chalk. The palate is fresh and vivid, presenting a lovely apple and lemon verve against deep chalkiness. This wine has such energy and elan, with the Pinot Noir playing second fiddle to Chardonnay brightness while adding a backdrop. Lovely. Dosage is 7.4 grams per liter. The property

Founded under the impetus of the two brothers, Jules and Auguste Devaux, the Devaux Champagne House has remained a family property from 1846 to 1987, a year marking the transmission of this invaluable heritage to the Union Auboise, now known as "Groupe Vinicole Champagne Devaux".

    The vineyard

Thanks to a partnership with more than 100 partner winegrowers, the Devaux Champagne House has developed a unique approach in Champagne through sustainable viticulture across its entire vineyard. Made from exceptional vineyards, Devaux champagnes magnify two flagship grape varieties of the Champagne, the round and powerful Pinot Noir from the Côte des Bar, as well as the fine, elegant and fresh Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs and Montgueux.

The parcel cuvées, grouped under the denomination of the D collection, are recognized for their purity and their authentic expression of the house's know-how.

    The wine

The D Millésimé 2014 cuvée from the Devaux House is the result of a rigorous selection of vineyards located within the Côte des Blancs and the Côte des Bar.

    Vinification and aging

The alcoholic fermentation in thermo-regulated stainless steel tanks precedes a partial malolactic fermentation. The dosage of this vintage champagne 2014 is 6.5 g/l.

    Blend

Pinot Noir (50%) and Chardonnay (50%).
