Description
A fine red wine from Saint-Émilion by Château Brun
The estate
Château Brun dates back to the 16th century. Since then, the property has been passed down over the generations, thus ensuring the safe transmission of traditional know-how in its purest form. It is thanks to this centuries-old transmission that the estate produces its fantastic Bordeaux wine in the Saint-Émilion appellation.
The vineyard
On the slopes of a hill north-west of Saint-Emilion, the 11-hectare vineyard of Château Brun benefits from a clay-limestone terroir facing south. The plots of vines planted in one piece are cultivated in the traditional way.
The winemaking
Manual harvest. Thermo-regulated concrete tanks. Fermentation from 18 to 20 days. Racking.
The ageing
18 months in oak barrels.
The blend
Cabernet sauvignon (67%), merlot (26%), cabernet franc (7%)
