Grilled reduction on the opening, dark fruit character that heads towards fig and rosemary herbs, sandalwood and cedar, the acidity brings things up short on the finish.

    Yves Beck

Complex and intense, the bouquet reveals notes of violet and liquorice wood, followed by fresh nuances with aromas of blackberry and chalky notes. On the palate, the wine immediately shows the energy that shapes it. Broad-shouldered, it is driven by compact, velvety tannins that provide support alongside the acidic structure. A mouthwatering, elegant and persistent wine.

    Description

A fresh and silky Fronsac wine

    The estate
The Château Carlmagnus is located in the heart of the Fronsac appellation. This estate produces wines that faithfully reflect the character of this confidential terroir on the Right Bank of Bordeaux.

    The vineyard
This Fronsac vineyard extends over 15 hectares on a vast limestone plateau. The clay-limestone soils provide the vines with an ideal environment to produce structured and aromatic wines.

    Winemaking and aging
After a meticulous sorting of the berries, the grapes are vinified without crushing in wooden vats, in order to preserve all the purity of the fruit. Extraction is gentle. No crushing. Aging lasts 12 months in large casks and barrels, 30% of which are new.

    The blend
The blend of this Château Carlmagnus 2025 is composed of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc.
