    Vinum

Cool cassis fruit, a cold fireplace note, subtle cedarwood, blackberries; on the palate focused and vertical, with polished tannins and an incredibly crunchy fruit, saline—like licking a stone—balanced, elegant and with very good length. A Pauillac full of finesse that will be enjoyable early on yet can age well.

    Decanter

Raspberries and red cherries on the nose with some rose petal aromas. Juicy and alive, great energy and brightness straight away, so generous, plump, a little darker on the palate with some dark chocolate, liquorice, blackcurrant and hints of cedar and bitterness. But equally the acidity is pronounced giving this real lift. Energetic with a mineral edged acidity. Dynamic and vibrant, great tannic frame, lively and so compelling. 1% Carmenere and 1% Petit Verdot completes the blend.

Black cherries, flowers, blackberries, spice box, currants, and tobacco wrappers form the nose. The medium-bodied, elegantly textured palate continues along that line with its vivid display of red cherries, strawberry, licorice, blackberries, espresso, and leafy herbs, leaving you with a touch of crushed rocks and herbs in the finish. Picking took place September 3 - September 19. The wine blends 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot, and 1% Carmenere. 13.1% ABV, 3.78 pH. Drink from 2029 - 2052. 93-95 Pts

Captures the muscular leanness of the vintage, coupled with great intensity and depth, waves of cloves, red liquorice, dark autumnal fruits, huge sapidity, coffee bean and cappuccino, clear richness with creamy weight through the mid palate. 3.78 pH. Harvest September 3 to 19. 55% new oak for ageing. Estate signature. 3.78ph.

    Yves Beck

Aged in 55% new oak for Clerc Milon 2025. The élevage is clearly apparent, but it isn’t the core of the wine’s message; it does exactly what you expect from it: it supports the aromatic ensemble and lets the details shine. Graphite nuances are followed by toasted-bread notes, then floral touches. Everything is perfectly in place—no excess, but plenty of precision—with an overall performance that champions aromatic harmony. On the palate, restraint is the order of the day. You can tell the extraction was measured and controlled, and that the climate favored the fine grain of the tannins. These provide, in equal measure, both finesse and power. A linear wine, broad, powerful and vibrant. A concentrated burst of energy with finesse, character and persistence. A contemporary, serene Clerc Milon with a dazzling, shimmering finish that makes you want to go back for more!

    Jean-Marc Quarin

Deep crimson-purple color with black glints. An intense, refined, fruity nose, noble and distinguished. Notes of raspberry, vanilla and smoke emerge with a swirl of the glass. Deliciously fleshy on the attack, with immediate brightness on the palate; the wine melts across the palate, juicy and highly aromatic. A sapid, fragrant finish, with a more enveloping tannic structure than ever. A lovely, full and steady progression all along the palate. Blend: 62% Cabernet Sauvignon (above-average), 28% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, 1% Carmenère, 1% Petit Verdot. Alcohol: 13.1% - pH: 3.78. Yield: under 32 hl/ha. Ageing: 55% in new barrels for 18 months. Harvest: September 3 to 19.

A Pauillac wine combining elegance and complexity

    The estate

Founded in 1730, Château Clerc Milon is a 41-hectare estate located in the renowned Pauillac appellation, in the heart of the Bordeaux region. Classified as a Fifth Growth in 1855, it was acquired by the Rothschild family in 1970. Today, the estate is brilliantly managed by Camille Sereys de Rothschild, Philippe Sereys de Rothschild, and Julien de Beaumarchais de Rothschild. Committed to sustainable viticulture, the estate is famous for its label featuring two dancers. More than just a wine, it is a true brand recognized for its excellence and unique cultural identity.

    The vineyard

Located in the northern part of the Pauillac appellation, the vineyard covers 41 hectares across the terroirs of Mousset and Milon. The vines, averaging 47 years of age, are planted on deep sandy gravel soils over a clay-limestone base.

    The vintage

The year began with a mild and rainy winter, allowing water reserves to be replenished. Budburst occurred early at the end of March. After a relatively dry April, May brought significant rainfall along with cool temperatures, encouraging optimal development. Harvest then took place under radiant sunshine from September 24 through early October, ensuring an exceptional-quality crop.

    Winemaking and aging

After manual harvesting and rigorous selection, vinification is carried out in 40 temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. The wine is then aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, 55% of which are new. This meticulous process enhances the wine’s structure and aromatic complexity while preserving the purity and freshness of the fruit. Alcohol content: 13.1% vol.

    Grape varieties

This Château Clerc Milon 2025 is a blend of cabernet sauvignon (62%), merlot (28%), cabernet franc (8%), carmenère (1%), and petit verdot (1%).
