    Description

A fresh and fruity fine red wine from Graves

    The estate
Founded in 1966, Château de Chantegrive is part of the Union of Grands Crus of Bordeaux. This forward-thinking family property in Graves is managed with passion and precision, producing beautiful wines representative of the Bordeaux region.

    The vineyard
The 160 plots of the Chantegrive vineyard extend over 36 hectares in the heart of the Graves. The vines, around twenty years old on average, are planted in a soil of gravel, rolled pebbles and fine sand on clay-limestone soil. The vineyard is managed with precision, according to the principles of sustainable viticulture.

    The winemaking
Harvest from September 25 to October 9. Cold pre-fermentation maceration for 7 to 10 days. Fermentation in thermo-regulated tanks. 7-day post-fermentation maceration.

    The aging
12 months of aging in barrels. 50% new French oak.

    The blend
    Merlot (60%), cabernet sauvignon (40%).

    The tasting
Tasted as a wine future, the Château de Chantegrive 2019 is a structured wine with fresh, fruity peppery aromas.
