A great white wine, full-bodied and generous

The estate

Established between the 9th and 11th centuries by Benedictine monks, the Fosse-Sèche wine estate was for a long time an ecclesiastical property. In 1998, Guillaume Pire, driven by a passion for wine and a strong environmental awareness, took over the reins with the ambition of creating distinctive wines that faithfully reflect the richness of their terroir. In 2010, he was joined by his twin brother Adrien, who shares the same vision.

The terroir extends over 15 hectares of vines cultivated using organic and biodynamic farming, on a rare soil composed of flint and iron oxide. It benefits from a cool, windy climate. Alongside their wives, Guillaume and Adrien Pire are fully committed to a strong environmental approach: one third of the land is dedicated to vines, while the remaining two thirds are devoted to preserving biodiversity.

Produced as a Vin de France, Arcane 2023 from Château de Fosse-Sèche is 100% Chenin Blanc.
