Château de Marsannay : Gevrey-Chambertin 1er cru "Bel Air" 2021

Cask sample. Pale crimson. Notably fruity and not that complex at this stage. Clean but a bit pinched. (JR)

The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin Bel-Air 1er Cru has a well-defined nose with transparent red fruit and touches of sous-bois, very Gevrey in style. The palate is medium-bodied with a supple entry, good body and gentle grip with a judicious spice note on the harmonious finish. This is a well-made and quite delicious Gevrey.
