Description
An elegant Lalande de Pomerol wine with a beautiful structure
The estate
Founded in 1390, Château des Annereaux is a family-owned wine estate located in Lalande-de-Pomerol, on the Right Bank of Bordeaux. Since 2013, Benjamin Hessel has been managing the estate, carrying on a centuries-old family tradition while incorporating modern and sustainable practices. Certified organic since 2010 and B Corp since 2023, the château stands out for its environmental commitment and its historic heritage.
The vineyard
The vineyard of Château des Annereaux extends over 22.70 hectares within the Lalande de Pomerol appellation. It benefits from a gravelly-sandy terroir particularly well suited to the expression of Bordeaux grape varieties. Cultivated according to the principles of organic farming with Ecocert certification, this vineyard reflects the estate's environmental commitment. This nature-respecting approach yields grapes of great quality and beautiful aromatic expression.
Winemaking and aging
After a manual harvest and meticulous sorting, the grapes were vinified plot by plot to preserve the typicity of each terroir. Aging then continued for 12 months in barrels, 25% of which were new oak, allowing the wine to develop its structure and complexity while preserving the fruit and freshness that characterise the estate.
Grape varieties
This Château des Annereaux 2024 comes from a blend of 70% Merlot, bringing roundness and fruitiness, complemented by 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, which provides structure and ageing potential.
