    Decanter

Bramble fruit aromas on the nose. Supple and so controlled with a gorgeous weight on the palate – ripe, filling tannins with a cool vein of freshness that just carries the frame. Not overly acidic or too bright, more controlled and calm with a complexity of flavours and textures. Chewy blackcurrant, liquorice and stones. It’s a touch short and compact on the finish but this will elongate over ageing. Lots to like here. Balanced with an elegant touch. 4% Cabernet Franc completes the blend.

Medium-bodied, soft, fresh, and silky in texture, the fruits are ripe, sweet, vibrant, and already easy on your palate, so while you can enjoy this pleasure on release, there is so much going on here, you can enjoy it for 2 decades of evolution with ease. Drink from 2029-2045. 92-94 Pts

    Yves Beck

Gloria’s bouquet brings together spices, fruit and minerality, elements it conveys from the very first aromas. Inviting notes of blackberry and blackcurrant, enhanced by a hint of mint and black pepper. Creamy on the attack, the wine shows a linear, generous profile. It is carried by well-integrated tannins that provide power and poise, while the acidity works subtly in the background. A savory, harmonious wine to enjoy even while young, yet offering a respectable aging potential.

Deep red color with black and purple highlights. An intense, refined, fruity nose, pure and subtle. Precise on the attack, with a classy texture and a fleshy mid-palate, the wine evolves with a melt-in-the-mouth feel and a noble tannic structure. The finish is long, complete, powerful, and very good. Blend: 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot, 4% Cabernet Franc. Alcohol: 13% - pH: 3.69. Yield: 20 hl/ha.

    Vinum

Noble ароматics of blackberry, sour cherry, dried herbs and violet blossoms; a creamy texture, showing drive while remaining elegant, with great tension, fine-grained tannins and a wonderful finish. Confirms the great pedigree of its appellation. A lot of Saint-Julien for the money.

    Description

Characteristics and tasting notes of Château Gloria 2025

    Tasting

    Appearance
This wine reveals a deep, dark red hue, enhanced by delicate purple highlights.

    Nose
The aromatic bouquet is particularly intense, releasing powerful notes of red and black fruits such as cherry, blackberry and blackcurrant.

    Palate
From the very first sip, this wine proves soft and seductive. It then unfolds a dense and full-bodied substance, supported by tannins of remarkable purity, both fine and elegant. The finish lingers at length, offering a rich, persistent and perfectly harmonious sensation.

    Food and wine pairings
This cuvée will pair wonderfully with grilled or roasted red meats, such as a fine rib of beef or a rack of lamb. After a few years of cellaring, it will enhance slow-cooked dishes such as braised beef chuck, roasted poultry served with mushrooms, as well as aged hard cheeses like Comté or Salers.

    Serving and cellaring
This Château Gloria 2025 is a wine that can be enjoyed in its youth, ideally after decanting, but it also boasts a structure built to stand the test of time. It offers a superb ageing potential and can be cellared to be enjoyed until at least 2045.

A Saint-Julien wine of compelling precision and refinement

    The estate
Founded in 1942 by Henri Martin, Château Gloria is a true benchmark in Bordeaux. Located in the prestigious Saint-Julien appellation, this vineyard of about 50 hectares was patiently built up by gathering plots from renowned Grands Crus Classés. Today, the property still belongs to the founding family through Domaines Henri Martin, with Jean Triaud at the helm. The estate has established itself as a leading name, recognised for the exceptional and consistent quality of its wines.

    The vineyard
The vines, averaging around forty years of age, thrive on the magnificent terroirs of Saint-Julien. The soils consist mainly of Garonne gravels resting on a subsoil of sand and clay, providing optimal drainage and excellent water regulation. The estate is managed with the highest environmental standards, relying on certified organic practices as well as methods that promote biodiversity. The harvest is carried out entirely by hand.

    The vintage
The year began with an overall mild winter, marked by above-average temperatures and low rainfall. Spring and summer then brought a hot and dry climate, which helped maintain excellent sanitary conditions by significantly limiting mildew pressure. While flowering went smoothly, fertility proved very low, foreshadowing a small harvest. Veraison was completed early, at the end of July. At the end of August, a few welcome rains restored balance to the vines without diluting the grapes. The harvest, exceptionally early, took place under glorious sunshine from 10 to 19 September 2025.

    Winemaking and ageing
After a meticulous sorting of the berries, the winemaking of this Château Gloria 2025 is carried out in a classic manner in vats. The wine then benefits from careful ageing in barrels, with a proportion of 50% new oak, in order to refine its structure and enrich its aromatic palette. Alcohol content: 13.5% vol.

    Grape varieties
56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot, 4% Cabernet Franc.
