Highly praised by critics, Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey 2002 is, among others, described by Bettane & Desseauve – Guide to the Wines of France in the following terms : "A wonder of purity and subtelty, its fruitiness completely preserved from any oxidation or change, woodiness marvellously melted into liquor, irresistible." Internationally, this wine is viewed by the prestigious Wine Spectator as "very pretty for the vintage, with lots of aromas of lemoned honey and vanilla. Full-bodied, very sweet with dried banana, apricot and a subtle spicy finish. The best after 2001."
