The estate
The origins of Château Laffitte Carcasset date back to the early 18th century. Located in the heart of the Saint-Estèphe appellation, the Château Laffitte Carcasset is surrounded by Bordeaux’s greatest growths. Part of the Rousseau family since 2016, this Cru Bourgeois Supérieur classified estate is a benchmark for the appellation.
Château Laffitte-Carcasset watches over a 40-hectare vineyard. Situated on the Saint-Estèphe appellation plateau, the vines are planted on Garonne gravel soils with clay-limestone subsoils.
The wine
In 2020, the estate opened a new chapter in its history by planting chardonnay on its "La Rochette" plot, which rests on limestone soil.
Vinification and ageing
Produced as a Vin de France, this cuvée undergoes ageing exclusively in barrels.
