Description
The aromatic palette and delicacy of a Saint-Émilion wine from Château Laroze
The estate
Current owner of Château Laroze, the Meslin family descends directly from the founders of the Laroze estate, in 1882. This centuries-old lineage has enabled Château Laroze to build a unique winemaking identity in the heart of Saint-Émilion on Bordeaux’s right bank.
The vineyard
The vineyard of Château Laroze extends over 27 hectares. The vines, with an average age of 25 years, are planted in soil composed of silica over clay, characteristic of Saint-Émilion.
Winemaking and aging
Winemaking is carried out in stainless steel and temperature-controlled concrete vats. Aging takes place in new French oak barrels (50%), in vats (43%) and in amphorae (7%).
Blend
Château Laroze 2020 is the result of a blend of Merlot (68%), Cabernet Franc (24%), Cabernet Sauvignon (8%).
