    Decanter

Supple and fleshy with a chewy and bright aspect. Lots of fun on offer here with plenty of personality — ripe yet also freshly picked, just shy of tart strawberries, cranberries and red cherries. Clean and mineral on the finish with a wet stone element that lingers. Friendly, clean, focused yet still with intensity of fruit and push. A fine showing — zippy and alive, very balanced and refreshing. A yield of 38hl/ha. Ageing 60% new oak.

Chocolate, flowers, and plum aromas open the wine. On the medium-bodied palate, it takes only a moment to discover its round-textured, fleshy, concentrated charms, leaving you with creamy-tannins, touches of forest herbs, tobacco, cocoa and chocolate-covered cherries in the finish. Give it a year or two in the bottle, and enjoy it for the next 15-20 years. The wine blends 60% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 20% Cabernet Franc. 14.5% ABV. Drink from 2029-2045. 92-94 Pts

Pumice stone, grilled bright fruits, so much character, a deliciously slow crawl across the palate, and so juicy at the same time, blood orange, pomegranate, moreish. 60% new oak. Harvest September 9 to 20, low ph of course on this high limestone plateau, love the energy that this wine gives you. 3.2ph (at harvest, now 3.4ph), Noémie Durantou winemaker.

The chalky character of the clay-limestone terroir comes through beautifully in Montlandrie’s bouquet, which shows its ageing with restraint and, above all, notes of blackberries and blueberries, creating a fine aromatic balance. From the attack, the palate is creamy and smooth. Powerful, the wine is carried by velvety tannins and a racy acidity that bring energy and structure. A vigorous, lively wine! It can be enjoyed young, but its excellent ageing potential should be kept in mind. A great success!

Deep, near-black colour with purple highlights. An intense, refined, fruity, pure nose with nuances of chilled black fruits. With a swirl of the glass, it becomes very aromatic and finely detailed. Ultra-delicate on entry, with plenty of brilliance on the palate, the wine moves forward slowly—conquering and profound—towards a precise, subtle finish. Superb: enveloping, complex and impossible to spit out. Blend: 60% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. Alcohol: 14.5% - pH: 3.45 - IPT: 92 (unprecedented). Yield: 38 hl/ha. Production: 31,000 bottles.

A wonderful Cabernet aroma rises from the glass, dark-fruited with floral notes and cherry blossom, clearly shaped by a chalky character; on the palate it is straight, vertical, full of tension, with lots of concentration and crunchy fruit. The acidity is very present and brings great freshness; chalk-tinged tannins carry the wine into a long finish. For around 30 francs, you get outstanding quality here.
