Description
An Exceptional Red Wine from Madiran
The "La Tyre" cuvée from Château Montus takes its name from a district of the commune of Castelnau-Rivière-Basse, within the Madiran appellation. This single-varietal Tannat red wine is made from a selection of the finest grapes from the plot. The vines are planted on steep slopes of rolled pebbles over layered subsoils of red and mottled clay. The wine is aged on the lees in new barrels for an average of 14 to 16 months, depending on the vintage.
"La Tyre" 2015 from Château Montus is rich, deep, complex and concentrated. The wine stands out for the finesse of its tannins and displays magnificent balance. On the palate, this exceptional Madiran exudes elegance, leading to a finish that combines freshness and harmony.
