The property
Located in the Rhône Valley, the Domaine Combier pays rigorous attention to its vineyard with total respect for the terroir. As early as 1969, Maurice Combier, a visionary, thus converted his vineyard to Organic Agriculture.
Laurent Combier, his son, along with his wife took over the estate in 1990 with the ambition to produce wines at the top of the Crozes-Hermitage appellation and authentically reflecting the expression of this exceptional terroir.

The vineyard
The Crozes-Hermitage Clos des Grives comes from a plot belonging to Domaine Combier of 9.5 hectares, 4 hectares of which were planted in 1952. These Rhône Valley vineyards are located on a clay-limestone plateau with rolled pebbles.

Vinification and aging
The harvest is manual with selective sorting. Following fermentation in stainless steel tanks, this Crozes-Hermitage wine is aged for 12 months in Burgundian barrels and then aged for an additional 12 months in bottles.

The Clos des Grives 2022 from Domaine Combier is a 100% Syrah.
