The Vineyard
The Faustine Vieilles Vignes Rouge cuvée is a Vin de France from the granite terroir of Corse. The vineyard is farmed according to organic and biodynamic practices.
The Wine
This cuvée was created to celebrate the birth of Faustine, the daughter of Jean-Charles Abbatucci, who currently heads the estate.
Winemaking and Aging
The grapes are harvested and then destemmed, with reception carried out via a gravity-fed system. A skin maceration takes place in concrete tanks. Once fermentation is complete, the wine is aged for six months in stainless steel tanks. After the various musts are blended, the wine is racked and filtered.
