The authentic expression of a great Chassagne-Montrachet terroir

    The estate

Founded in 1999 by Jean-Charles and Nathalie Boisset, Domaine de la Vougeraie is located in Premeaux-Prissey, in the heart of Burgundy. Born from the consolidation of family plots acquired since 1964, the estate now spans some forty hectares. Still led by the Boisset family and managed by Sylvie Poillot, the estate stands out for its deep commitment to biodynamic and organic farming. By respecting lunar cycles and the authentic expression of its terroirs, Domaine de la Vougeraie has established itself as a key reference, combining excellence, precision, and environmental respect.

    The vineyard

This historic climat within the Chassagne-Montrachet appellation rests on deep marl and clay soils over a limestone substrate. Cultivated as early as 1150 by Cistercian monks, this exceptional terroir enjoys an ideal exposure. The old vines benefit from a high planting density, promoting optimal concentration in the grapes. The entire vineyard is farmed according to biodynamic principles and has obtained official organic certification.

    The vintage

2023 offered particularly favourable conditions in Burgundy, allowing the berries to reach excellent physiological ripeness. The harvest, which began under good weather auspices, revealed healthy grapes with a perfect balance between aromatic richness and freshness.

    Winemaking and aging

The grapes are hand-harvested in small crates to preserve their integrity. After rigorous sorting, the musts of this Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru "Morgeot Clos de la Chapelle" 2023 ferment using indigenous yeasts in wooden vessels. Aging takes place in oak barrels, with meticulous monitoring throughout. Every step, from harvest to bottling, is guided by the lunar calendar.

    Grape variety

    Pinot Noir (100%).
