The estate

Founded in 2008 by winemaker Géraud Fromont, Domaine des Marnes Blanches takes its name from the characteristic soils of its first plots. The venture took on a new dimension in 2011 with the arrival of Pauline Rahon, also a winemaker. Today, the couple runs this estate, renowned for its rigorous organic approach and its philosophy of natural winemaking with minimal intervention. The estate has gradually expanded, offering a wonderful diversity of terroirs, and has established itself as a benchmark for lovers of authentic wines.

The vineyard

Classified as Vin de France, the vineyard spans varied terroirs acquired over the years. The vines flourish on singular soils, initially composed of white marl dating back to the Lias period, later enriched by plots of red, clay-limestone soils brimming with fossilized oyster shells. The entire vineyard is managed according to strict organic farming principles, ensuring environmental care and the pure expression of the terroir.

Winemaking and aging

The making of the Coup de Jus "Shark Riesling" 2024 is guided by a low-intervention philosophy. After careful harvesting, the process continues with natural fermentation.
