The Estate
A family heritage spanning several generations in Burgundy, Domaine Lorenzon was taken over in 1997 by Bruno Lorenzon, its current owner. Located in the Côte Chalonnaise, this estate of around ten hectares stands out for its exceptionally rigorous approach to viticulture, having used no herbicides or pesticides for over thirty years. Drawing on his international experience and background in cooperage, Bruno Lorenzon crafts his own barrels, tailoring the ageing process to each individual plot. This relentless pursuit of precision and purity has today established the estate among the leading names of its region.

The Vineyard
This wine comes from the renowned classified climat of Mercurey, nestled at the heart of a valley facing south and southwest. The vines thrive on very stony clay-limestone soils, rich in active limestone, which give the wine its distinctive saline character. The vineyard is managed with rare precision: a high planting density reaching 12,000 vines per hectare, very limited yields, and meticulous soil management. True to its ecological principles, the estate has used no synthetic chemical products for several decades.

Winemaking and Ageing
The grapes for this Mercurey 1er Cru "Les Champs Martin" 2024 are hand-harvested with the utmost care. In the cellar, the approach is equally precise and respectful of the raw material. Ageing takes place over 18 months in oak barrels, 40% of which are new. Remarkably, these barrels are entirely designed and crafted by the winemaker himself, ensuring a perfect integration of the wood that enhances the purity of the fruit without ever masking it.
