Domaine Vincent Pinard : Petit Chemarin 2018

This parcel was planted in 1968 at a density of 7,000 vines/ha – limestone soils ('caillottes'), facing west. The 2018 Petit Chemarin is showing brilliantly, with exuberant notes of peach, pear, exotic fruit, limestone and herbs. Very complex and pure. Deep and concentrated, it’s searingly intense, with an elegantly textural palate with racy acidity. Very mineral. This has a long and glorious future ahead of it.

The saline sensation derived from limestone is heightened in Petit Chemarin, a distinctive great white wine with a lively, precise length. It will evolve with panache.
