Description
A bold blend revealing an innovative Franco-American whisky
Maison FAW: the art of transatlantic blending
Maison FAW is a new spirits brand that stands out for its distinctive approach to blending, bringing together American traditions and French savoir-faire. Founded by three partners (two French and one American), the brand has built a strong identity centred on quality sourcing and the art of blending. Blending and bottling take place in France, more precisely in the Cognac region (Charente), at the Distillerie de Chevanceaux, a terroir historically renowned for its expertise in ageing spirits. Master Blender Brendan Coyle and his team oversee the blends. Through its creations, MAISON FAW embodies a modern vision of French whisky, enriched by international influences.
Architect Whiskey: a meticulous construction
Architect Whiskey is a blended whisky that embodies a true architecture of flavour. It is built on a rigorous selection of three distinct components from two continents. The backbone of this blend is an American Rye (rye whisky), which provides the main structure, complemented by Bourbons sourced in Indiana, in the United States. These are then blended with French rye and Single Malt produced by the Distillerie de Chevanceaux in Cognac.
The production method relies on ageing these distillates for between 5 and 9 years. Once mature, these components are shipped to the Cognac region, where they are meticulously blended under the guidance of Master Blender Brendan Coyle. This transatlantic creative process marries the power and spicy character of American grains with the elegance of French malt. The final product is then bottled in France, non-chill filtered, at 48.5%, delivering a powerful and refined whisky with a hybrid, innovative profile, conceived as a true work of the blender's art.
